He starting out doing the rounds of birthday parties, weddings, Christmas, and office parties and then progressed onto a 7 year stint on Eastbourne pier. He then moved to Brighton, where he was able to establish a number of prime multiple residencies including 6 years at Thank Funk at the old Escape Club; 7 years at the legendary Zap Club; 7 years at Swifts; 7 years at the Shark Bar in West Street; plus 7 years of The Soul Weekender at the Funky Buddha. He also teamed up with another local Funk/Soul legend DJ Mick Fuller to create Brighton Soul.
In his time Rob’s diverse range of musical tastes have incorporated hip hop, House, UK Garage and commercial pop in his sets but he has more recently specialised in 70’s & 80’s Soul, funk and disco and the modern offshoots of Soulful and Disco House. He currently plays regularly alongside Mick Fuller for Brighton Soul, hosting all day parties at the A Bar, and has opened the street party at Brighton Pride for the last 2 years.
